IN North Carolina Last few days of the season look like March is going to head out like a lamb on the Southeastern ski slopes. Expect very nice weather and nice spring conditions right through Sunday.  Sunday will be spectacular!

Sugar Mountain, near Banner Elk, NC – Web cams looking good, Sugar is skiing and riding Switch Back, Gunther’s Way, Flying Mile, Big Birch, and Easy Street- that’s 10 slopes – using 3 lifts –on a 26 to 56” loose and frozen granular base. 25% off rates in effect. Sunday will feature live music and the famous snow burning at the end of the season!

            Cataloochee Ski Area, Maggie Valley NC- Another beautiful day in the neighborhood – looking good and going strong. Cataloochee is skiing and riding from the top on Upper and lower Ohmegosh, Easy Way – 6 total slopes- 2 lifts on a machine groomed 30 to 40” base. Weekday rates are in effect every day and Slope cams look great!

West Virginia:  

Snowshoe in WV – Last week of the season at Snowshoe, skiing on 40 trails with 6 lifts on 148 acres on a 42" base. There are some March lift savings shown on web site. Expect highs in the 40’s with snow Friday  then a beautiful weekend.
