In Western N C:- There’s plenty of snow on the slopes, but the weather is a little iffy. Some rain is likely tonight, then light snow showers ( or mixed precipitation) is possible above 3500 feet on Saturday into Sunday. High temperatures on the slopes over the weekend will stay in the 30's,

Sugar Mountain, NC - Expect great coverage and spring conditions- from the top - 20 slopes -6 lifts on a 49 to 99" loose and frozen granular base. The outdoor ice rink is open. The Tubing park is open March madness slope rates are about 25% off.

Today’s Tip -If you bought your skis or boards at Alpine in the last 3 years - you can bring in you equipment for your free annual tune-up after 3/15.

Ski Beech, NC - check out the web cams - Skiing and riding from the top on Southern Star - all 14 slopes, using 5 lifts on a 46 to 82" wet granular base. Spring blowout rates - ($20.00 lift any day)- day sessions only and Saturday 3/20 is last day of the season.

Cataloochee in Maggie Valley, NC: night skiing Monday through Fridays, day sessions only Saturdays and Sundays - the end of the season is on Sunday, March 21- 100% open - Skiing and riding with all 16 slopes, using 5 lifts on a 55 to 134" machine worked surface.
