Pickup
Pick up in Raleigh before you drive up
Get fitted at home and head to the mountains ready to ski. You can pick up your rentals at our Raleigh store the day before you leave, so there’s no waiting in rental lines when you get there. Picking up early doesn’t count as an extra rental day — it just gives you more time to get ready.
Raleigh is about 3¾ hours from Sugar Mountain (roughly 206 miles via I-40 and US-421 through Boone). When your trip is over, bring your rentals back to the Raleigh store.

How much does it cost to rent skis in Raleigh?
At Alpine Ski Center Raleigh, a full-day adult ski package is $28 on weekdays and $36 on weekends (Shape Entry Ski). Advantage Ski is $37 weekday and $46 weekend, and AdPlus Demo Ski is $55 weekday and $60 weekend. A junior ski package (under 12) is $21 weekday and $26 weekend.
How much does it cost to rent a snowboard in Raleigh?
A full-day adult snowboard package is $42 on weekdays and $49 on weekends. The Step On snowboard package is $52 weekday and $58 weekend. A junior snowboard package (under 12) is $33 weekday and $39 weekend.
What is included in a rental package?
Ski packages include skis, boots, bindings and poles. Snowboard packages include a snowboard, boots and bindings. Need just one piece? We also rent skis, snowboards, boots and poles on their own.
How do 3-day rentals work?
The 3-day price is the total for all three days, not a daily rate. After three days, each additional day is charged at the 4+ day rate shown in the table.
When can I pick up my rentals in Raleigh?
You can pick up your rentals the day before you head to the mountains, so you’re ready to ski as soon as you arrive. Picking up early doesn’t count as an extra rental day — it just gives you more time to get ready.
